Azure, a chief wavy and barry wavy of twelve Azure and Argent debruised and interlaced by a fish urinant Argent.

Coat of arms of Juan Bautista Lanzagorta Escutia designed by Juan Lanzagorta Vallín and outlined by me. In English, «urinant» is the attitude of a dolphin or fish with its head down, diving. The term comes from the Latin «urinor», which means to dive, to swim underwater, or to submerge. There is no true equivalent in Spanish; a possible candidate would be «sumergido». It recalls the sad story of a shipwreck.

Arms painted by me, in plain tinctures, contoured in Sable, with a semi-circular external shape and with a texturized finishing.

Coat of arms of Juan Lanzagorta Aras designed by Juan Lanzagorta Vallín and emblazoned by me. Note that the second quarter begins and ends in Argent; therefore, while the first quarter is properly bendy, having an even number of bands and beginning in Or and ending in Azure, the second is not, as it has an odd number. It is almost impossible to align both quarters so that the wavy bands continue seamlessly from one to the other. Heraldically, such continuity is not required, but artistically it makes much more sense. For this reason, in this case, I chose to prioritize the artistic criterion of continuity, even if the second quarter ends with a small strip of Argent instead of finishing in Azure.

Escudo partido: 1o bandado ondado de azur y oro; 2o bandado ondado de azur y plata; brochante sobre el todo tres peces nadantes en palo de plata.

Arms emblazoned by me, highlighted with lights and shadows, contoured in Sable, with a semi-circular external shape and with a freehand finishing.

Coat of arms of Juan Lanzagorta Aras designed by Juan Lanzagorta Vallín and emblazoned by me. In the case of bendy fields like these, it is not immediately clear whether they should be blazoned as bendy Azure and Or and bendy Azure and Argent, or rather as bendy Or and Azure and bendy Argent and Azure. I have followed the criterion of starting to list the tinctures from the dexter chief of each quarter, and for that reason I blazon them as bendy, in this case wavy bendy, Azure and Or and wavy bendy Azure and Argent, since in both quarters it is Azure that begins at the dexter chief.

This is the coat of arms of the marriage Lanzagorta-Escutia, designed by Juan Lanzagorta Vallín and emblazoned by me. They are the married couple composed of Juan Lanzagorta Aras and María Dolores Escutia Sánchez. In the image, the same coat of arms is compared with an exterior shape ending in a semicircular arch and with another ending in an ogee arch; the arrangement of the fish and the eagle within the shield seems slightly better in the version with the semicircular arch.
