In Castile, a coat of arms quarterly does not necessarily signify inheritance. This schema illustrates two practices: a) Quarterings can represent the mother in the 1^st and 4^th quarters and the father in the 2^nd and 3^rd, highlighting the prominence given to the maternal line by placing it in the most visible quarters. b) Quarterings can also include personal symbols and concepts, like canting arms, for example, «Manuel» =«mano» + «ala» = «hand» + «wing», combined with ancestral arms. This flexibility reflects Castilian heraldic traditions, where arms are not strictly marshalled by inheritance. The inclusion of maternal arms in the 1^st and 4^th quarters highlights how Castilian heraldry often elevates maternal heritage, differing from some other heraldic traditions. The previous commentary emphasizes the creative freedom in Castile, where quartering could incorporate personal symbols or canting arms without the constraints of inheritance or dominium. This flexibility aligns with Castilian culture, allowing heraldry to reflect personal identity, not just dynastic ties. Notably, the arms of Infante Enrique's use of a cross flory demonstrates this creative freedom, showcasing the ability to innovate within heraldry even in royal contexts. Canting arms of Jan Bobor, Slovakia, emblazoned under his directions. In heraldry, the word embattled is usually enough, and even more precise terms such as Ghibelline or swallow-tail crenellations already convey a distinctive image. Yet, in this case, what matters most is not the general heraldic convention, but the particular wish of the armiger. For him, the form of the crenellations is essential because it alludes directly to a specific historical castle: Zvolen Castle in central Slovakia, with its alternating swallow-tails and arched voids. To reflect that connection faithfully, the blazon could indeed be refined to read «a chief embattled of Ghibelline crenellations», or even more precisely, «…of alternating swallow-tails and arched voids».

The Royal Association of Hidalgos of Spain was founded under the name «Asociación de Hidalgos, Infanzones y Noblezas a Fuero de España» by Vicente and Francisco de Cadenas y Vicent, the Marquises of Siete Iglesias and of Zayas, and also by Valentín Dávila Jalón, Marquis of Dávila.

This association brings together nobles of Spanish lineages with the aim of maintaining and promoting the traditional values of the hidalguía and is inspired by the principles of Christian humanism. It fulfills its duty to provide services to Spain, its institutions and its citizens, with loyalty to the Crown and commitment to Spanish culture and history.

Its magazine Hidalgos, also known as «La Gacetilla de Hidalgos de España», or simply «La Gacetilla», as this was its name until the end of 2010, precisely until its issue 524 of October, November and December 2010. This magazine is an excellent source of knowledge and information, and some of its articles are cited throughout Blason.es, for example, those by [Valero de Bernabé, L.; 2009b], [Valero de Bernabé, L.; 2010] and [Valero de Bernabé, L.; 2012b].

In saltire arrangements, I prefer to place the element in bend over the element in bend sinister, since the bend takes precedence over the bend sinister. Therefore, in my interpretation of this coat of arms and unlike other interpretations, the two-handed sword placed in bend is drawn above the one placed in bend sinister.
