The 5^th ICGHV was held at the historic National Museum - Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania and was organized by the Genealogijos, Heraldikos ir Veksilologijos Institutas. This family armorial composition presents ten personal coats of arms, each one created for a specific member of the family, while preserving a shared visual and heraldic language. The arms are those of Iker Lanzagorta Ochoa, Teresa Otxoa Magaña, Ixai Lanzagorta Ochoa, María de los Ángeles Carrillo Padilla, Itziar Lanzagorta Ochoa, Alejandra Espeja Amieva, the youngest granddaughter of Jon Lanzagorta Vallín, Juan Lanzagorta Vallín himself, the eldest granddaughter of Jon Lanzagorta Vallín, and Andrés Cruz Carballo.

Imaginary coat of arms of King Fernando II of León, which I have developed based on his seal and the arms of his successor, with: the shape of the coat of arms is semi-circular; the field enameled in flat argent; the lion enameled in purpure and illuminated; and the whole rendered with a watercolor finish.

For this imaginary coat of arms I have chosen a representation of the lion in a posture similar to that of the great seal appearing in [Fernando II de León; 1167], which is sejant ~ «sentado» in Castilian, although beginning to rise «sejant erect».

It should be noted that we are in a pre-heraldic period where the possible attitudes of the lion were not yet clearly defined, although several of them are already anticipated in the great seals of Fernando II, as can be seen, for example, passant in [Fernando II de León; 1181] and in other attitudes in the photographs of [Martín Fuertes, J. A.; 2002].

I use the term "legend" for its identifying purpose regarding King Fernando II of León; note that among the terms motto, legend, device, and war cry, all referring to texts in the blazon, different nuances and meanings can be found.

G0084: the coat of arms of Heidi Garcia-Bosch-de Morales-de Sola née Adriaensen, of France, as granted by the Chief Herald of Arms of Malta and emblazoned by me for this grant. These are not marital arms in which one part represents her husband and the other her own family. Both parts of the coat of arms belong to her in her own right: the dexter part derives from the Adriaensen family, her maiden name, while the sinister part comes from a grant by Bourbon-Parma. In the Malta Government Gazette, this legal-heraldic status is expressly described by the words «in her own right». The relevance of this clarification may vary from one heraldic jurisdiction to another. In some jurisdictions, women have historically had fewer opportunities to bear and transmit arms in their own right, and there are now efforts to move towards greater equality in entitlement, display and inheritance. In other heraldic jurisdictions, a woman bearing arms in her own right has long been established and is regarded as entirely normal. Even so, a coat of arms divided per pale can sometimes suggest marital arms at first glance, since impalement is so strongly associated with marriage in many heraldic traditions.
