The insignia of Marcio Vieira Nastri features a «vieira», a escallop in Portuguese and Spanish, alluding to his surname Vieira. It also includes ribbons, since his surname Nastri means ribbons in Italian; they are Sanguine doubled Or, as in his mantling. The ribbons embrace the scallop in such a way that they resemble a capital M, for his name Marcio. The resemblance of the ribbons to the letter M is an artistic detail, not part of the blazon.

The composition of this entire family set of coats of arms follows an assumed American heraldic practice rather than a strictly British or Scottish legal model. Kimberly is a heraldic heiress, and her daughter Tiana quarters both parents' arms, Randy and Kimberly, accordingly. Randy's other son, Britania, and his two daughters, Korÿn and Konstänz, as well as his grandchildren, use Randy's arms, each with their own marks of difference. Kimberly's other daughter, Makayla, her son Corey, and their descendants are not presented as inheriting arms by right under British rules, but rather by family courtesy and internal consistency within the assumed system used by this family; that is, they bear Randy's arms quartered with Kimberly's arms, each again with their own marks of difference. In the United States of America, where arms are commonly assumed, as in Castilian heraldic tradition, rather than formally granted, such arrangements are a matter of family tradition, agreement, and personal decision, rather than enforceable heraldic law. The overall composition of the arms of this extended family is a clear and good example of this approach. It should be noted that the English expression «assumption of arms» does not translate well into Castilian as «asunción de armas», but rather as «adopción de armas», «adoption of arms» a much more accurate and meaningful term. The concept of adoption conveys incorporation into a family: we adopt fundamental bonds, such as a child; deeply personal relationships, such as a companion animal; and also highly symbolic and identity-defining elements, such as a coat of arms.

Structure: his coat of arms; his heraldic badge; the 1^st line of his motto «Incipit Vita»; his crest; the 2^nd line of his motto «Nova»; and his badge. I usually do not blazon standards; I only describe their structure, since the coat of arms, the badge, and the crest they normally bear are already known as those of the armiger. However, in this case I have blazoned the standard with details from the hoist to the fly. The hoist is the part attached to the mast, and the fly is the part that waves freely and in this case ends in a swallow-tail, although this is an artistic detail I have not blazoned. For the specification of this blazon I use brackets for each of the parts, for example, the blazon of the arms, the blazon of the badge, or the blazon of the crest. In this case I have repeated the blazon of the second occurrence of the badge, but I could have avoided it by referring back to the first. It is unusual to find such a detailed specification of a standard.
